“A FABULOUS NIGHT OF MUSIC FROM THE 60’s”
Bill Wyman & Guests stage
amazing Concert for the
60th Anniversary of the Monaco Red Cross
After a romantic garden-party with a hint of Africa in the gardens of the Sporting Monte-Carlo, guests at the Monaco Red Cross Ball were treated to a concert of music from the 1960s.
Bill Wyman, the consumate musician formerly with The Rolling Stones, was the
master of ceremonies at the event where it was standing room only in the pure tradition of great rock concerts.
The public was also able to go directly to the Salle des Étoiles to watch the concert only.
Robin Gibb — lead singer with the internationally acclaimed band, The Bee Gees - performed, as did Mary Wilson, formerly of The Supremes; Eddie Floyd ("You’re so fine”) and other great entertainers from the 60s. They had the elite audience rocking.
Harley Davidson motorcycles formed a guard of honour. A series of Gibson guitars and special lighting effects brought
to life the colours of the 60s.
Thanks to state-of-the-art LED technology, gigantic images appeared on fabrics
winding between the columns. Before these spectacular animations came to life, the audience viewed a video clip
retracing the actions of the Monaco Red Cross over the last sixty years.
