OUR HOLIDAY PARTY

"In December 2003, when our then 4½ year old daughter Daisy was diagnosed with Leukemia, our world was changed forever. During the following 2½ years of Daisy’s intensive treatments, we saw how emotionally and financially devastating caring for a child with cancer can be. We wanted to do something to help other families in the community with similar situations.

We decided to turn our annual holiday party into a fundraiser and thanks to the kindness and generosity of our friends we raised $250,000 the first year for the Pediatric Oncology Support Team (P.O.S.T.) at the Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s.
Since then, we founded the Be A Star Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) charity, to help not just the children with cancer, but ALL sick children and their families locally. In 5 years, we have raised nearly $3 million.
We need your help to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families devastated by illness. Please review our website to see how you can help us in our continuing efforts."
Sincerely
Richard and Julie Healey
